1 year since diagnosis & MRI results
This week marked one year since Abby's diagnosis and first surgery! It has been a crazy year and we have still not adjusted fully to our new normal. We have had such tremendous support from everyone so thank you! Also Tuesday was Abby's MRI and today we went back in to get the results. Sadly the tumour continues to grow and develop new cysts. Thankfully we are not seeing any symptoms develope such as facial numbness, hearing loss or vision changes, so they will continue to monitor with another MRI in 8-10 weeks. If she becomes symptomatic then they will move up her MRI. They want to put off surgery as long as possible and we continue to hope and pray that the radiation starts to work on the tumour before they need to intervene with surgery. Abby continues to suffer from some fatigue and headaches. She cannot seem to get a good night's sleep so they are referring her for a sleep study. Hopefully they can find a way for her to g...
